Engaged | Althea + Giancarlo 12.04.2011

I can’t believe that I am actually shooting my cousin Althea’s engagement session! I remember way back, like REALLY way back my fam and I visiting her fam up in San Jose.  I remember in particular during our visit, that I hit it off with her brother, Glenn. Gosh, I couldn’t possibly remember what we talked about. Maybe it was about the latest movie, girls, or what’s trending in school in junior high! I just know it was awesome! Since then, we haven’t really stayed in touch! That’s how life is sometimes, right? Everyone is busy and we just have to do our “thing”.

It was such a small world, no really, VERY SMALL. When one of my brides, Michelle, whose wedding I photographed last July, she asked if she knew of a photographer and Althea mentioned me. Lo and behold, Michelle had already established a conversation with me, and it just worked out that way. Life is funny sometimes, right?

Engaged | Joyden + Mike 11.22.2011

Joyden and Mike wanted the City of Pasadena as a “backdrop” to their engagement session. We decided to hold it in the late afternoon until sundown to capture the beautiful lights and ambiance of this city. Joyden and Mike also LOVES coffee and who doesn’t? So we walked over to Intelligentsia in Pasadena for a quick stop. From there, we roamed around the city, walked block after block, alleys after beautiful alleys, then we ended it at the Pasadena City Hall.

ENGAGED: Jemmie + Wilver | 11.11.2011

We are so glad that Mother Nature decided to show her beautiful, soft, golden warm rays instead of rain so we can photograph this fun session at the Santa Monica Pier! We actually thought we had to reschedule at the very last minute. Whewww!!

We walked around, over, and under the pier and shot a variety of locations and had an awesome time! Check out Jemmie and his fiance Wilver’s engagement session.  April 2012 is right around the corner! I am so looking forward to their wedding.

Family Portrait | The Sarno Family 11.09.2011

We started off at the Pasadena City Hall on a cool Wednesday afternoon. I met Reynel when she was a bridesmaid at Jessalynn and Raymond’s September Wedding. Reynel brought her boyfriend, Brian. Her mom, Elizabeth. Her brother, Wes, and his wife, Julia, along with their two handsome boys, Elijah, and Noah.

After some great shots within the City Hall Courtyard, we walked around Pasadena along Colorado Boulevard for variety! These guys are so SUPER EASY to photograph! Even though Reynel said, this was their first “formal” family session. So I am so honored to capture this beautiful family!
