Easter Sunday, an earthquake, and a GOOFY engagement session. What more can I ask for? I personally know RJ for many many years playing tournament paintball along with his brother-in-law Ojay back in the day. When I found out that RJ was soon to get married, I was pleasantly surprised, but I am also so happy that he finally found “the girl” in Rachelle. They told me prior to the shoot that they don’t really show much “PDA”, that’s public display of affection, folks. I said, “no problem”. Even though I like to tell my couples to show their “affectionate” side towards their “future” spouse. This session turned out to be better than I expected. The Los Angeles Union Station is a historic Los Angeles Landmark. Built in 1939, and considered to be “The last of America’s great rail stations.” Even though it has been renovated recently, I am so glad they they kept the interior design intact, to reminds us how historic this place is.
I want to give the LA Union Guards special thanks for letting us in an area of the LA Union Station where it’s “off limits”!
I am so happy for RJ and his beautiful fiance, Rachelle. Congratulations to the both of you! Looking forward to your wedding this July!

@Nannette: Girl, you crack me up! Thanks for the love!! Now the only STALKING I allow are the “blog stalking kinds”.
@Emily: Go for it! If you rip it, prepare for some harsh critique then. =)
Joel, these are GREAT. I’m so inspired now I’m gonna go rip off your poses, haha, just KIDDING! Seriously though thanks for the heads up about going to scout it out first and bringing lights. Great job!
Dude, love the off camera lighting! You’re assistant totally rocked it too, I can’t wait to shoot there again you gave me some ideas! LOL! Good stuff man, keep it up!
I feel like your stalker…haha. You totally outdid yourself with these, Joel! I’m always picking up my daughter from the Fullerton or Anaheim Amtrak station and take test shots just in case. (Not with my crop sensor camera yet.)
I love the richness of the colors in these photographs. AND, the shadow shots. I love shadow shots! I took some of my grandbaby on Saturday at the park.
I’m learning a lot from you & your blog. Thank you!
Love it Joel!!! I love the angles & comp from the first 2 shots.
You rocked this e-shoot!
