I am so happy that my Los Angeles Lakers won the 2009 NBA Title. I am a die-hard DEVOTED Laker Fan! I have been a Laker fan since the days of Magic, Kareem, James Worthy, Cooper, and Byron Scott. I have witness the UPs (3 Straight NBA Titles, 2000-2002), and the Downs(the breakup of Shaq and Kobe, 2004 NBA Finals Loss to Detroit, Two first round loss to Phoenix, and one humiliating loss to Boston last year). In the world of sports, I live and die as a Laker. If you ever see me watch a Laker game, especially a playoff game, you will hear just about “colorful” word introduced in the English language. Though most of the time, I keep it to myself because my wife will just give me bad look and I dont want Jordan to “pickup” those words. When my Lakers win a game, a series, or a Title; I am standing High. Especially during a playoff, I get SO attached to the game, that quite often I “tune-out” the world. Unfortunately, that means I tune out my wife and my son as well. Of course, this is not a way a husband and father should be, but I just cannot help it sometimes. Although, the past few years, I have learned to channel my emotions when it comes to the Lakers! I am SO Proud of my Lakers, especially with Kobe Bryant. He has so many “haters” out there. I do not want to get into a discussion about Kobe, but I am one his biggest fans. Congratulations to
Kobe Bryant, for his fourth ring, and his first NBA Finals MVP honors. Of course, he would have not won his ring without Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Trevor Ariza, Derek Fisher, Andrew Bynum, Sasha Vucacic, Luke Walton, DJ Mbenga, Jordan Farmar, Shannon Brown, and Josh Powell.
I also would like to congratulate the LA Coaching staff especially a one Phil Jackson. He won his TENTH ring! Wow! No man or woman has won more honors in any professional sports than Phil Jackson.
I want to dedicate this post to my 2009 NBA World Champions! I predict a REPEAT!!!
