Yesterday, I was invited by Lisa Donahue, owner of For Heaven’s Cakes of Thousand Oaks, CA to see her and her talented staff once again at the Bridal Premiere Bridal Show in Westlake Village, CA. Regardless of what the current state of the economy is, the show was packed. I actually arrived late because I had an awesome client meeting just a few hours at the nearby Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. This time I didnt bring my camera, but I wanted to help in other ways. I donned an apron and help give out samples of what they call “cake-bites“. They are a small representation of the wedding cakes, each custom made for their clients. I am so fortunate to be involved with For Heaven’s Cakes. They have always referred me, and I ALWAYS return the favor. Last year, For Heaven’s Cakes was the subject of an “extreme business make-over” show. Peter Perfect of MyStyle TV Network. It was an awesome episode which I still have on my Cable DVR. Because of the show, I was given the opportunity to shoot a few stills for then an upcoming show called “Maid of Honor”, which was featured on The Learning Channel. A few of shots was used as end-credits images. It was SO cool that my images and my credit was shown on National Cable TV. I blogged about this awesome opportunity when the show premiered spring of 2008. It was something I will never forget.
If you ever in the area. You have got to check out For Heaven’s Cakes, and ask to sample their cake-bites. Once you take a bite, its almost like being in heaven! They are that good! If you happen to drop by, please tell them I sent you!

Joel,
It was great seeing you again at the Bridal Show last week. That event is a lot of work but a lot of fun also. You are such a talented photographer/artist! Anyone would be fortunate to have you as their wedding photographer. I hope it won’t be a whole year until we see each other again!
